Shift of direction from ‘Supermodels’ by Claud is evident due to its artistic maturity that can be seen through transition from bedroom pop. In the album, Claud discusses love and other themes of self-reflection with catchy melodies and slow lyrics with deep thinking. That being said, songs, “Soft Spot” and “A Good Idea” prove that Claud can write simple but catchy stories and keep the audience interested in their music. The transformation of the musical composition occurs within the album but stays close enough to the listeners so that they can relate to the music. Supermodels is imbued with the elements of Claud’s artistic growth but keeping all the components that made fans attracted to her music in the first place, therefore it adds more value to the indie pop genre.
