Derry’s Cherym self-introduced themselves through their first album, “Take It Or Leave It” – an album filled with punk-pop-rock influences. The band’s goal is to be engaged in resistance to the masculine music industry, yet providing the audience with memorable tunes that one cannot overlook. Songs such as “Alpha Beta Sigma” and “Kiss Me” are cheerful and boastful, and their infectious chorus coupled with words that the youths of the new age may find entertaining. The sound is lively, quite fitting for their live band posts which is evident from this mix. Cherym manages to establishes them in today’s musical landscape and provides a new take on what can be considered as the alternative genre. The tune titled “Take It Or Leave It” is perfect to familiarise itself with a band that is set to cause a storm.
