”Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine”, from Brockhampton, is an album that tries to explore the concept of stardom as a confining cage. This is an album that I would say is the sum up of their experiences invasion and achievement as a collective. This album has a particular sound that is backed up by specific artists such as Danny Brown and JPEGMAFIA. Some of these songs like “Buzzcut” and “Chain On” feature content lyrics with strong beats, however the music also tends to be emotionally appealing. The picture is compact, but also each performer gets a chance to show himself but there is also solidarity within the group. ”Roadrunner” represents the idea that is at the core of Brockhampton’s identity: softness and toughness and the need to be truthful. This album can only be considered as an exciting chapter in their narrative and it will not be wrong if it convinces everyone about humanity and art in the middle of the storm.
