On ‘The Coming Day’, Vanderzee once again delivers fully fledged melodic rock with a good dose of heartfelt longing combined with catchy melodies. From the Catskills there is Vanderzee, a man absolutely in love with the skill of the classical guitar and an experimental producer who forms a rather vibrant and somewhat romantically engaging sound that is typifying The Killers and mystifying The Cure. The first of this track presents itself with animation, the upcoming pitter patter of status drumming, playful guitar stabs and then the reaches towards the power pop inklings. One mustn’t forget about Vanderzee’s heartfelt singing that brings such positive vibe into that song along with the true spirit of everyday effort. “The Coming Day” as a result is uplifting and for this reason stands voices a powerful single that not only entertained but also encouraged in a new dawn.
