Waste Some Time and Far Away are great new tracks out of Ottawa’s Missioner, the band proves adept at creating fervent, satisfying climbs. It is really cool how “Waste Some Time” presents rather reflective verses and cheerful choruses and the voice appears to be hazy, focused and engrossed as the guitar sounds come and go, patient before suddenly picking up and flying high.”Far Away” is also a banger, the hook is very melancholic yet very longing and you can hear the ’90s alt-rock influence of Last Dinosaurs in the chirpy guitar sound and returning in 2023 six years after their creation, “Waste Some Time” and “Far Away” have fans waiting for what else the Ottawa band has under its collective sleeves.
