Love Me My Alien’s “We Can Fly”: A Deep Dive Review

We Can Fly by Love Me My Alien was an awesomely creative song that has left me looking forward to their first debut EP, combining hypnotic rock with the odd want to run away. The project from Philadelphia that unites Anthony and Michael Montesano together with Justin DiFebbo echoes the War on Drugs to some extent and has Patrick Berkery on drums. Starting with some unexpectedly crisp twangs of guitar, and backed with an acoustic layer that makes the track instantly cozy, Track 5 seemed perfect for a drive with the window rolled down. The melodic line is dense: gorgeous, mournful voices rise from a thoughtful part: These strings compel the listener to accept the concept of a voyage. We Can Fly is a beautifully produced piece and captures for me the true potential of the band, as well as a raw emotional overview of what is out there already within the modern rock genre’s palette.
