The lead single from Leveller’s forthcoming debut album is appropriately titled ‘Fair Isle Automatic’ it heralds Bristol based singer-songwriter Daniel R. Ball as a new talent to watch on the rock scene. The song using the metaphor of an automated lighthouse filters the plot of distressing love through its lyrics, which Ball turns into a living tableau. When post-punk and rock are mixed, combinations of voice’s emotions are powerful, and they are clearly conveying the sense of anxiety and need. “Fair Isle Automatic” means ‘hello’ from Leveller and makes fans interested in what this collaboration will bring next.
