The first track of Konrad’s “After Midnight” with the vocals by Nicky Dylan is a welcome addition to the indie rock that will bring the vibe of the early two thousand to life. Let the track play and you are immediately hooked by percussive hooks that offer an immediate energy. The vocals go in a crescendo during the bridge and is exciting through the third verse and chorus.Where the track excels, however, is through the use of proper melody combined with easy to relate to lyrics. Particularly the chorus is very much The Strokes type of indie, yet at the same time it is new, interesting and vibrant. Hence, every shift feels intentional; they are leading the audience through an emotional experience. THIS SONG IS MORE THAN DANCE TRACKS , y’all; it’s an anthem for the doubtful middle of the night. Konrad has done a great job on it and any rock lover would be pleasantly taken through a ride on this piece.
