CS Being aware of the band, Hellmann’s “Up Til Dawn” is a bright single, that just incautiously recreates a range of the seventies and the eighties rock music, that, as well, conveys a sense of compelled insomnia and active mind. The Psychedelic folk artist from Nashville sings sorrowful lyrics and pairs them with an upbeat and catchy tune right from the intro. The lyrics describe the state of physical and emotional distress during night-time thinking, before getting to an infectious, key-intensive part that can be listened to multitude of times. An outstanding guitar prominence comes to the front in the second half, intensifying passion within the hurled density. With ‘Up Til Dawn’, we have a powerful exercise of night-time reflection, well wrapped inside melodic savvy and accessible themes, thus residing as one of Hellmann’s greatest realized work and a proof of his versatility.
